Wings of the Soul

Wings of the Soul

Written by Kateb Nuri-Alim Shunnar

This body, a weathered shelter, bears signs of wear a crack here, a leak there, with each passing day revealing its fragility. My soul, yearning and alive, senses the quiet pull to depart from these earthly walls, walls layered with the weight of laughter, loss, love, and endurance. Every scar and wrinkle whispers the same truth: this world is not my final home. I am something far beyond this temporary form. I know it in the depths of my being my soul must move.

Today, I choose to rise. Rather than simply letting go, I lift myself to something higher. The burdens that once clung to me like heavy chains now slide away, no longer needed. I shed them like a garment, allowing my spirit the freedom to soar, to move beyond the limits of this world. I’m drawn to a place of flowing peace, where grace fills the air with every breath a realm far removed from the shadows cast here.

Another dwelling awaits me, not crafted by human hands. Built from light and woven with love, this home stands in the sacred embrace of eternity. As I step beyond this form into that sacred space, I feel a fullness I have never known, a freedom unchained. My wings spread wide, and as I rise, my soul finds its release in boundless joy. At last, I am home; at last, I am free.
