In our spiritual journey, it's crucial to understand the source from which we seek guidance. Turning to individuals who are distant from the Creator and themselves—those who are diseased in spirit, foolish, immature, bitter, unhappy, angry, petty, disconnected, and ego-driven—can lead us astray. Seeking counsel from such people will only divert us from our true path. Not everyone needs to know our troubles; it's far more beneficial to enter into meditation and communicate directly with our Creator. Seek help through patience and prayer in all your affairs, for this approach is challenging except for those who have faith, belief, and a deep connection to the Creator.

I speak from personal experience when I say that I have made the mistake of listening to the wrong people during difficult moments. These individuals, lacking any spiritual growth or insight, could offer no true inspiration. Their advice often leaned towards negativity, suggesting retaliation and petty actions like tit-for-tat or an eye for an eye. Following such misguided counsel led me to harm myself and plunge into a place of darkness, joining them in their misery. When you're down in the mud, they only sit back and gossip about your foolishness.

Today, I urge you not to seek counsel from foolish or broken individuals, no matter how long you've known them. Instead, turn inward and seek the Creator's guidance. In my own life, I've learned this lesson the hard way. Listening to those without a spiritual foundation caused me to stray from my path, but turning to the Creator helped me find my way back to the light.

Imagine your spiritual journey as a hot air balloon ride. When you seek guidance from those who are grounded in negativity and disconnection, it’s like filling your balloon with heavy stones instead of hot air. These weights prevent you from rising, keeping you tethered to the ground and unable to soar. But when you seek counsel from the Creator, it's like filling your balloon with the warm, uplifting air that allows you to ascend to great heights. The higher you rise, the clearer your perspective becomes, and the closer you feel to the divine.

Patience and prayer are key in all matters. This path is not easy and is only achievable for those who have cultivated a genuine faith and connection with the Creator. There have been times in my life when I’ve felt lost and confused, tempted to seek advice from those around me who seemed confident but were spiritually hollow. Their words were like quicksand, pulling me deeper into despair rather than helping me find solid ground. It was only when I turned to prayer and meditation, seeking the Creator’s wisdom, that I began to find clarity and peace.

In those moments of deep meditation, I felt the Creator's presence guiding me gently back to the path of righteousness. The solace and answers I found in these spiritual practices were far more profound and healing than anything any misguided individual could offer. It was a reminder that the Creator’s guidance is always available to us, a source of light and wisdom that never wavers.

Moreover, it's important to recognize that seeking counsel from those who are spiritually disconnected can have a profound impact on our well-being. When we absorb their negativity and follow their misguided advice, we allow their brokenness to infiltrate our own spirits. Surrounding ourselves with those who are connected to the Creator and seeking their counsel can elevate our spirits and keep us aligned with our higher purpose. These individuals, grounded in faith and spirituality, can offer insights that resonate with our souls and lead us toward a more fulfilling and enlightened existence.
